Dog Barks  – #40 of 365 Poems

Someone asks a dog if it can bark in silence.
The dog is silent.
They ask again and the dog does not answer.
They call many people and ask again.
The whole city comes together.
They ask in different languages.
Some even bark and ask.
Finally the priest comes and
he looks up to the heavens,
then closes is eyes.
He says “the dog does not understand us”.
The people applaud and
they praise the one above.
Such is the power of religion over the human
And the dog continued to bark in silence
But who wants to hear 🙂
