Recently I came to know that our Batchmate from NSS Meenchanda and fellow Kozhikkodan had scripted some of the very entertaining movies I saw in malayalam a few years ago…. my ignorance that I was so late in knowing this….

Ranjan Pramod was the script writer who brought us Meesamadhavan, Achuvinte Amma, manassinakkare etc… all beautifully crafter movies that had a new and unique way of storytelling… Those who have watched these movies still remember much about them…

In fact while watching ‘Achuvinte Amma’ I did see Pramod in one of the scenes and was telling “Hey this guy was in our school…..” It did not come as a surprise to me as growing up we had always seen him active in School play and other creative avenues… If I remember correct he used to live in the same housing community as ours and often had his creative displays during our annual functions…

You feel so good when you see people from your childhood reach such heights and get recognized for their efforts… I decided to check him up on Google… but there was not much of him online… and I left it there…

But again the other day I went browsing his name for some time….  I came to know that he was the director of the movie ‘photographer’ and he had been on a long sabbatical for the past 6 years and had restarted his activities directing the new movie ‘Rose Guitarinaal’ a musical love story…

Subsequently my search on youtube was in for some more pleasant surprises… An interesting Malayalam Reggae song “Moonga”which is rendered by Pramod himself… He is also featured in the song… Enjoy!!! I wish all the best to Pramod on all his future endeavors…
