3/365 They don’t know me – Poetry

And they said it was going to be ok
that they have seen the same trees
they have stepped on same leaves

They said go forward don’t look back
They said my fear was baseless
I just nodded

I did not want to object them
Be cruel to their ignorance –
about who I am

How can I tell them
their shoes don’t fit me
I have blisters on my legs

They won’t listen
they see from their baggaged eyes
they don’t know me

But I nodded
they thought it was my approval
they felt happy and left me alone

Yes, that is what I wanted
escape from them
instead of proving them wrong…

They don‘t know me
