15/365 The clock ticks | Poetry

As the clock slowly ticks
each second passes to another

a second is lost before we realize
a minute we wait for
some minutes are longer than years
they take an eternity to pass.

life stops and waits
a flower somewhere decides to die
a tree falls… and no one notices
an animal cries for humanity
It is hot like hell..

An old snake laments
‘it is time to refill the poison‘

Humans gather to decide
and they part after few hours
without any concrete decision.

Useless meetings eat up the calendar
a corporate employee dies during one

A company says no more meetings
and still… nothing changes
because meetings are always a waste.

Few more minutes have passed
I am sleepy and the day is over
tomorrow is another day..
a new one
to love, live or survive
