When souls blinded by greed
crawl into the wretchedness
of the dark night,
murdering morality in the pretense of society,
profiting without remorse on corruption
and ignorance;
A few souls stand guard
as the last evident signs of
ethics, civic responsibility and
societal obligation in our world
