I feel bad giving such a title to this post, because I understand the effort, dreams and aspirations that go into making a movie. But sometime you are forced to say so because the makers of the movie think that people who watch will take any crap if they coat it in the beauty of love. But sadly this movie falls flat on the face.
I thought a lot before I started writing this blog post to see if there is anything I could find good in the movie worth mentioning. I could agree that the music is good, there are some instances that you will love, but when you think about the agony of going through the entire movie to listen to the songs and see some scenes, its a very defeating feeling.
Love stories will sell, but they have to be entertaining. I still have no clue what the director and writer was trying to convey. I get the idea of connection and love that finds you in multiple lives etc… But there should be a damn story line to keep the viewer together through what you show. Just because you make the hero and heroine sing and dance every twenty minutes does not make it a lovable movie.
The Actors Shahid and Priyanka did not have a lot to do because they could not have in anyway helped as the downwards spiral of the story begins within 10 minutes into the movie…. The trailer was well done and that is the single reason I went and watched it. and I also have nothing against the actor Shahid Kapoor and feel he does a reasonably good job in every movie and it always reflects his commitment. The actors have done a reasonable job here as well, but sadly a very futile attempt.
I can only sincerely hope that this movie does not adversely effect the career of the people involved in the movie. My recommendation to the movie goer is don’t waste your precious 3 hours, but if you feel bad for the producer who put the money do send them the ticket money by post…
Haha.. I loved your compassion for the poor producer. BTW I also agree to your observation”the makers of the movie think that people who watch will take any crap”, this really angers you once you come out of a cinema hall all drained and trying to figure out what the movie was trying to tell you… had been planning to watch this movie.. no I definitely wont..:)
Yes udita, not worth seeing in the Theatre…:)
