Dedh Ishqiya proved one thing which many people knew but did not make obvious… Vidya balan is leagues ahead of Madhuri when it comes to becoming a character….. Madhuri Dixit is still probably a crowd puller with her fan following… but the silver screen will not lie…. What Vidya brought to Ishqiya Madhuri has not been able to bring to Dedh Ishqiya….

Now what is that Vidya brought to Ishqiya…. well beyond the Sodium Sulfate her performance was a volcanic eruption in an unknown terrain…. But in Dedh Madhuri is all known… nothing new… nothing different just the same old… same old…. obviously with a reduced glamour than before…

The movie goes to Naseeruddin and Arshad both teaming up for entertainment just like Ishqiya….. There are several moments to laugh out loud…. and the backdrop of urdu poetry was a nice thing to watch…. And Vivek Raaz as usual handled his role the same way since monsoon wedding… convincing and natural….

Music is good… but for me I need to listen multiple times to get a feel of it so I will not comment here….

I am not sure if my memory is failing me on Ishqiya but Dedh Ishqiya in my opinion has more moments to laugh out loud…. Also the way the scenes are structured is quite interesting and seemed like some of them resembled old western movies…. especially the opening scene and the ending scenes….. Now when I think the opening scene is very similar to some english movie I have watched…. not sure which…

But overall…. movie is good….. Don’t think a must watch but a good watch… And sorry Madhuri fans….. but the truth is the movie has nothing to her credit….
