Forgotten Gifts – POEM #6 NATIONAL POETRY MONTH 2019

The gift came wrapped
inside glittering memories
there were also some colored papers

the person who send it
had not forgotten me
at least I thought…

The colored papers
brought back some pain
and I could not move beyond that point..
I wrapped it back
and sent it back

For it came from a person
and a time that I have been
trying hard to forget

  1. Read the poem about unwanted gift and found it interesting.
