“No” He said
“But we are”
“You can be”
“Admit your greatness” They shouted
“Why?”
“Only then can we claim our greatness”
“No I cannot” He said
“You are lying” they yelled
“Send him to the Gallows, he is great and he does not admit,”
“Kill him, Kill the liar” They screamed

  1. Sorry, I pressed enter without finishing the comment above! (Please delete it.)

You captured so much in such a short space of dialogue.
This piece is very aesthetically beautiful, as well as philosophically valuable.

    Good work!

  2. Very well crafted words.

  3. I loved this! It was very well done; forceful, full of energy and had me siding with the fellow headed to the gallows. Felt like he could either be fighting with another human being or with himself. One side humble, but still knowing his self-worth and the other side of him; arrogance wanting to be let loosed on the world. I don’t know what you actually meant for the reader to feel or hear, but this is what it spoke to me. Blessings!
