Django Unchained

Django1Django unchained is a worthy watch in the theaters… The movie is slightly long around 2 hours and 45 minutes but it keeps you watching till the end…

I have always loved watching the coffin dragging gun slinger Django portrayed by Franco Nero… so when I found that now you have Jamie foxx being Django…. I had to watch it… Also if you are a Quentin Tarantino fan then you have to go…..

If you go into the theatre imagining Franco Nero and his Django… you might be surprised by it… because not much is common except that there is enough action to feed your eyeballs…..

I had to make a choice between Jack Reacher and Django and I am happy I made the right choice…. Have not seen Tom cruise in action….. will confirm this statement after that….

christopher-waltz-jamie-foxx-django-unchainedThe movie is a bit violent but not to stop you from watching it… and we have had much more violent movies that this…. The story is told during the time of slavery in US and at times one could think that the makers went a bit too far in depicting some aspects and the use of language…. but then Tarantino does not do things like others do…. And what people had to endure during the slavery years is much more than what is being portrayed in the movie… Also the mockery made of KKK was a nice piece…

Though Django is the main character around whom the movie revolves…. there are equally important roles by Christoph waltz and Leonardo De Caprio and Samual Jackson… Christoph waltz the German – Austrian actor who had also been in Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards did a splendid performance as the German Dentist and Bounty Hunter Dr. King… De Caprio does his Negative role superbly as the plantation owner Calvin Candie…

Samuel Jackson comes in the last part of the movie and does his role exceptionally well with an interesting make up… It took be a few seconds to figure out that the character was samuel Jackson…. Franco Nero and Tarantino himself also make a Cameo appearance

I would think this is a movie you should watch in the theatre…
