Locked out in the Rain – #3 in 365 Poems

Today I woke up early.
The dog had started to walk at night again.
Tip toeing in the corridor just before dawn.
It was also drizzling outside.
Was it some fear that kept the dog awake?
We all have fears, different ones and similar ones.
We know fears are just in our mind,
But we don’t accept it.
We spend dog nights awake as it drizzles,
outside.
Afraid to go out in the dark, we
never really dance in the rain.
When it is most important, we
stay locked in our fears.
I said not Today…. just Not Today.
No time to be locked up inside.
get locked out…
out in the rain…
