Step Down – #21 of 365 Poems

A poem tells him to step down.
From a dream he has built over the clouds.
A cloud from which he has snatched a baby face.
A sky from where he threw a net on all the earth.

The poem tells him to step down from the dream.
Dreams tell other people how the world works.
You start hating dreams when you know everything.
When no more mystery exists to be solved.

Dreams should be built on earth,
till you know it all
Don’t build it on the clouds.
The poetry begs him to step down from the dream.
