Amy Tan on Creativity

When ever a story is being told a new story is being weaved by each listener who in turn becomes a part of this new story. the original story is then retold by the listener to himself over and over so much that the original story gains a more personal significance for the listener.

What I mean is that every story sparks creativity within every listener and takes its own form sometimes preserving the message conveyed, and sometimes distorting the same with his own belief systems

Amy’s stories therefore were weaved when she heard them and the fact is when she tells her story she in turn initiates the creation of new stories within every listener.

So in one way there is no right answer, creation happens when each listener starts questioning the same thing in different ways that spark them.

The talk made me think much, well that is what TED is all about
