This is a TED talk by Kimberlé Crenshaw about violence against black women and Girls

At the end she requests the audience To please stand for these women and say their names on behalf of women everywhere who have suffered from state sanctioned violence. I was not present there so I typed them out

And I do this not just because it can be said to be state sanctioned but also because there is violence committed on women and girls world over and it is important to break that silence in all possible ways.
