Walking – #31 of 365 Poems

You do not wake up from a dream
like someone climbs up from a well
they fell into in a past life.

You do not cross the street
like you are walking from the living room
into your bedroom.

And you don’t drive over a dead body
because you have the right of way

You gotta wait till things clear
And then start walking.
