Please Make Way #76 of 365 Poems

A long journey in between deep sighs
sun rising in a black sky
somewhere in the milky way a small star cries

flesh bored of burning decides to blossom
there is history in between the teeth
grinding under every grin that falls

Today is a day for long walks
days of dreams; so short… that they
cannot reach the top shelves of reality

Fake faces that show up in the crowd
dissolve back into obscene familiarity
a smile falls on the pavement ready to be stepped on

emotions crumbled in shirt pockets in the laundry basket
a smoke to cover the dissidence of the common thought
and finally the world stands still to witness

Let the orchestra begin
we have lined up the human race
they will march in apology
please make way….
