A Few Interesting movies (Part 1)

For the movies I watch an individual review becomes too taxing but many movies need a mention even if I am not getting the time…. so here are some of the interesting movies I saw in the recent time…..

Mr. NobodyMr. Nobody

This 2009 Science Fiction Drama is a must see and takes you through the memory lane of the last dying man on earth after “death by aging” has been eradicated… Starring Jared Leto who won an Academy award for his role as Rayon in Dallas Buyer’s Club

Reds PosterReds

Reds is a 1981 Warren Beatty, Diane Keaton classic that is based on the life and Career of the Journalist Jack Reed who covered the Russian Revolution first hand in his book “Ten Days that shook the world” basing in Russia… The movie also stars jack Nicholson as the nobel laureate playwright Eugene O’ Neill…. If you love movies based on real life this is one that you don’t want to miss….

Hannah_Arendt_Film_PosterHannah Arendt

Hannah Arendt is a biographical movie on the German Jewish Philosopher and political theorist Hannah Arendt… Hannah had covered the Adolf Eichmann trial for the New Yorker and became controversial for the introduction of the concept “The Banality of Evil”.. This 2012 German-Luxembourgian-French collaboration, the movie has Barbara Sukowa in the lead….. Wow.. what a performance…. I am surprised that she was not nominated for Academy Awards that year… more over what a strikingly beautiful woman, even at the age of 64 she will blow your mind….. A must see both for the movie and the performance

Code InconnuCode Inconnu

Code Unknown: Incomplete Tales of Several Journeys (Code Inconnu) presents us Juliette Binoche (I always tell you she is my favorite).. This 2000 Michael Haneke movie is kind of incomplete collections of several stories all intertwining with each other….. Most stories occur in Paris, with several characters in the various stories, it is not an anthology but a few stories which start and become incomplete and then restart and so on…. will be a in interesting watch for aspiring movie makes as well…

Amores_perrosAmores Perros
The 2000 Mexican film Amores Perros from director by Alejandro González Iñárritu does not need much introduction… it was nominated for Academy award for the best foreign film.. Watch it if you have not yet.. I need to warn you that you have to be ready to see some extreme violence to get through it…. it is not for the faint hearted and dog lovers, please don’t watch because the movie also moves around the barbaric cruel sport of dog fighting…
