A Hand Full Of Colors – Poem#6 – National Poetry Month

HandfullA hand full of colors,
even one color will do
But it should not be the
one in which I see the world

A hand full of colors,
that can resonate with the truth
my colorless mind
wishes to display

A hand full of colors,
that will tell me stories
in languages painted
by the human heart

A hand full of colors,
that fly up in the air
and place a mark of equality
on every face

A hand full of colors,
that I can give to people
so they can feel that they
are not alone in this world

A hand full of colors
that can bring a smile
on every face, white, black,
brown, blue, yellow, pink, purple…..

A hand full of colors,
that I can let go in the end
and return to my canvas
to paint my world all over again
