The Imagery of a Moment #48 of 365 Poems

A moment trying to make a meaning
during a pause.

A pause losing its mind
grappling the silence
it should be.

A small kid rewinding her life
like she knows what childhood can be
when you grow up.

A middle aged guy looking at
both sides and ahead
to see where time is shifting.

A dog sits in the house
and peeps through the window
Where did they go?
Where did they go?

And the curtain closes with just
enough time to escape unnoticed
before the lights turn on.
