2/30 Appetite Like an Ocean – National Poetry Month 2018

He had an appetite like the ocean
engulfing everything that came to his shore
he also had sand on his doorsteps
it is there since a while
first it came when the one eyed bikini lady
first slept on the porch.
but he was young back then
that was twenty years ago.
now the bikini lady is sleeping underneath
the avocado tree.
the one that does not bear any fruit
but he still has an appetite like an ocean
he will engulf anything that comes to his door steps
and he is still waiting
