Today as I was working out I was looking at the mirror and the word that came to mind was ‘Insignificance’. We live in a world where everyone wants to be important. Even as I write this, what I want is more people to read this. For more people to know me. We do a lot of things to feel important but we should not forget how insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things.
Social Media wants us all to feel important, but there is a pitfall. When we try to be important we also start comparing. We can be important only in comparison with others. This is a never ending path, A treadmill that will not take us anywhere. Insignificance is the only refuge for those lost in the search for importance.
The fundamental element of being little, small, insignificant is the goal. More than a decade ago I remember writing a post on unimportance and recently I again wrote on the same lines and now again.
